The holidays were great fun and filled with traditions (old and new)...Advent countdown, the annual visit from the Magic Elf, the neighborhood lighting of the green, breakfast with Santa, Polar Express train ride, trip to Noccalula Falls for Christmas at the Falls, story time at the hotel, decorating our gingerbread house, baking cookies for Santa, sprinkling reindeer dust to light the way...all to lead up to the big day.
Since the beginning of the year, I have spent all my spare time preparing for the birthday party of my BFF's daughter. She's turning 3. The party theme was based on the new Disney Princess, Princess Tiana. If you haven't seen The Princess and the Frog, go. It's too cute. It's great for those LA (Louisiana, that is) lovers out there. But I guess everything makes me miss New Orleans. Anyway, back to the party...the kids had great fun today. Each child had an opportunity to decorate his/her own crown. We played Kiss the Frog and musical lily pads, but the show stopper was the castle. I made a castle out of a refrigerator box. The kids loved, loved, loved it. I think the party was definitely a hit.
Well, here are a few pix to show you what I've been up to.
