BATZ

The Kid and I had a great time last Saturday. We started the day at one of the local botanical gardens. Each year, area schools and community organizations create scarecrows to be displayed in the garden. I particularly liked the scarebot with all the apps. The kid had many favorites.
I don't know what I enjoyed more seeing the scarecrows or listening to the kid point out things that tied in with his recent science lessons like the leaves falling off the deciduous trees and the freshwater ecosystem of the lake.

That night, we went BATZ; that's to say we went to Boo at the Zoo. The zoo at night can be especially creepy to me. The Kid was a little spooked by the Haunted Train Ride, but he had a lot of fun playing all the different games and eyeing all the cool costumes. Being the lover of everything Star Wars, he was, of course, dressed in Stars Wars attire. Imagine his excitement when he saw a fellow group of clones...troopers....or whatever they are called. Guess who is not a Star Wars fan!!
